About Me

I live in Stephens City with my husband and children. I am originally from Tennessee and you will hear that in my accent.  I currently have four children.  My son was born via C/S, my daughter was a well earned VBAC We did a hospital transfer during a planned home birth. My third sweet baby was my home birth, finally! Baby number four taught me what it was to be a NICU mom.  I have had many different experiences in my own child bearing and I strongly feel God brought me to it to teach me empathy.

My babies didn’t make it easy on me, but through them  I continue to learn empathy, understanding, patience, strength, and the tenacity of woman.

As a Midwife, it is my goal to give you: Love, Respect, Compassion, and Empowerment.
Love for you as you are and where you are on your journey through life.  Respect for you as a person and for the decisions you have made, are making, and will make.  Compassion for you when you struggle. Empowerment through the care and knowledge you now possess, a lasting impression, and a constant reminder that you are amazing, are capable of anything, and you have proven this by the wondrous things you’ve already done.

My Path to Midwifery and How I Midwife

My path to Midwifery took longer than expected and was not without its twists and turns. Even as a small child I was fascinated by pregnancy and birth and would mortify my mother by touching every pregnant belly I saw, friend and stranger alike. Initially I pursued the pre- medicine route but it became clear to me that I would not be able to offer the care that I wanted to provide to the women I served. After this realization, I decided to change my major to Nursing and obtained my BSN at Shenandoah University with the sole intent being to immediately continue for my Masters in Midwifery.  I was blessed to go into "out of hospital birth", the area of my calling and passion soon after taking my Boards.  I really do have the best “job” in the world because I am surrounded by loving Midwives and amazing women.   It is my hope to serve you well.

As your midwife I want to empower you.  I want you to feel like you are important because you are.  You are important, your journey is important.  I want to give you good care and be a safe place for you.  I offer well woman care because I desperately want you to take care of yourself.  You can't pour from an empty cup.  I offer preconception and fertility counseling because I understand trying to conceive can be a rough road.  Please don't walk that journey alone.  Let me support you the best I can.  I have a huge heart for mothers with losses too.  Those pregnancies matter, those babies matter, your motherhood matters.  I have suffered loss.  Its real and its raw.  While rainbow babies are a blessing, pregnancy after loss can be a very anxious time.  Let me love you through that.

Midwifery care isn't just pregnancy and birth.  Its every step of the way.  Women take many journeys, let them ALL come with peace
"Natasha was with me through all of the ups and downs. I really did not believe I could do an all natural birth but Natasha and her assistant Anne alongside my husband made it one of the best experiences of my life. I am forever grateful to Natasha for bringing our beautiful baby girl into this world healthy and happy."- Tiffany C.
"Natasha took care of me and my little one from beginning through to his arrival, and she was the most compassionate, caring midwife every step of the way. A huge portion of my positive birth experience was because of her support and guidance, not only during my birthing time but also with all of her prenatal care."- Rachel A.
My first daughter was born in an emergency c section and when I got pregnant the second time I knew I wanted a different outcome. I met Natasha and knew I was in good hands. She is calm, detailed, and thoughtful. During my birth Natasha was incredibly levelheaded, honest, reassuring and comforting. I achieved my VBAC and had the birth experience I wanted. I am forever grateful. - Amanda B
